A GPS gets instructions from satellites. Going to the top of a hill doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll work any better. It’s not a cell phone. Which is why I still have my Garmin with LIFETIME free map updates!

True GPS works from a satellite link. If you’re outdoors it works pretty well unless you are under a canopy of trees for an extended period.
