I once asked directions of someone who told me, “You can’t get there from here.”
A GPS gets instructions from satellites. Going to the top of a hill doesn’t necessarily mean it’ll work any better. It’s not a cell phone. Which is why I still have my Garmin with LIFETIME free map updates!
Me in Costa Rica, except the guy on the left is speaking rapidly in Spanish.
But – you can’t actually get there from here.
True GPS works from a satellite link. If you’re outdoors it works pretty well unless you are under a canopy of trees for an extended period.
In my neck of the woods, people would just tell you that you can’t get there from here.
