Edison’s many patents were primarily due to his fine crew that worked in his lab.

Is it true that many of Edisons patents were not actually his inventions but from the work of his employees that he got credit for?

Edison was the sole inventor of relatively few things. His greatest sole invention was the R&D lab where people collaborated on ideas and product development, which led to most of his patents, as they were filed in his name.

And to think that Thomas Edison never finished high school. Just proves that you can give a man an education, but you can’t make him think.

Funny, the people whining about Edison are the same ones who think Steve Jobs was great. Jobs was just a glorified taskmaster and marketer.

Thomas Edison may have held 1,093 patents, but— clumsy as he was— he dropped 658 others. BELIEVE IT, OR DON’T!

The miniscule nature of the nano-chamelion sounds a lot less impressive if you state it as 2.2 cm. Figuring out why is left as an exercise for the reader.

Most of Edison’s patents were for the work of other people. He was a LOT more administrator than actual inventor. Edison ‘HATED’ Tesla because Tesla was so much more intelligent and creative than he was. Edison held patents for things that Tesla created when Tesla worked for Edison.
