Whew! Walt makes his save throw one more time!

As we bid adieu to the newly-impoverished Clovia for awhile, Judy walks into the donut shop’s kitchen to transition us into a new storyline, 51 years ago today in the Alley:

I hope that when Walt does finally leave, it’s arm in arm with his three pals from the beginning of the strip.

Bub (or is it “Bub”?) installs Lona Night as the new lead reporter at The Flash. And now I imagine Pesky Miller is fired, too.

For her part, Brenda lies back in her bed to have a lush think.
