You’re right, Fred. Icing and sprinkles can hide a lot of sins in wonky cakes. However in this case of sunken top, I just might try flipping it to see how that would work out. I’d still ice it and sprinkle it but wouldn’t have to worry about filling a crater.
Once when I was on a submarine, we were running at an angle and the sheet cake the messmen made was badly sloped. That would have caused problems, unequal slices. I suggested they cut it in the middle of the slope, frost the high end, then fold the low end over and even things out. It worked and they decided I was a genius.
On the other famous UK comic strip “Andy Capp”, they have mentioned that the Queen’s husband Prince Philip has died at the age of 99. I have added my own comments about that on Andy Capp and I felt it should be mentioned here as well.
