    Hey, Cappers!

I need all the luck in the world today (tonight) as I’ll be speaking to Michael G from New Jersey on the phone for the very first time and that man is a notorious flirt. I actually can’t wait. All that stuff about me needing all the luck in the world was a joke by the way. If anything…. People need luck talking to ME!

I did have a wonderful conversation with RJM yesterday evening. It was fantastic.

I emailed A Common Tator and said I knew France has been put under a full lockdown again. Tator was very grateful for my email and I did say we miss him here. However nobody should feel obligated to comment.

I hope everybody had a very Happy Easter/Passover. I took this photo of me on Easter Sunday. Rather nice I think…

    See you later!

‘Tis an embarrassment to see Andy play football when he’s lazy and not physically fit to do anything.

@Number Three Today’s strip IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp is starting to feel his age , his second wind is taking longer to return, and Flo is quick to point it out :o) my avatar is a picture of Snow White’s seven dwarves , which reminds me of the good old days when we played a game comparing the Capp gang to the characters , bev was Snow white , I was Doc because of my para-medical career , you were Sneezy because you had hay fever at the time but I can’t remember the rest :o{ , how was your day? ours should be busy but calm I hope , I paid the contractor 1500Euro for all the work and material for the alterations and we have no errands to run and are both in a good mood, keep safe and thanks for caring young Lady, we think your avatar looks spiffing

Could you put a keg of beer on a hand-truck behind the opposition’s goal the get Andy moving? Sort of like waving a carrot in front of a horse to get it to move.

At least there won’t be any fighting in this game.

Perhaps we’d see a similar reaction by Andy if he had a place of employment. Thus his reluctance to acquire such; he’d be near death by the end of the week.

Andy is afflicted with alethophobia. I’m not saying he’s ailed by it. He’s so lacking in self awareness he doesn’t see it.

Another lame Three Stooges warmed-over Capp. Even the punchline is off.

We’re amazed that he made it to the second period let alone 20 minutes into it.

It would have been funnier if Flo informed us that the match hadn’t even started!

Andy’s shins look kind of nasty. It appears the opposition has been kicking him instead of the ball.

It’s the title of a little known album of country tune standards that Leon did years ago.

I played the “She Still Thinks I Care” song. I like Cash, Waylon and Willie better as Country singers and am glad Leon leaped over to the Shelter side. That tune he did on Harrison’s Bang up the dash (Bangladesh) benefit concert/record is fantastic.

    This one:

I like Leon’s spoken part best. Starts shortly after 3:05. It’s the intro to “Youngblood”. His best bit starts after 6:27. Too bad he was never one of the Highwaymen. He had such a signature sound in his vocal. :-(

    @Afficionado

Ah, I remember the good old days. My symptoms of Hay Fever usually consist of sneezing, streaming eyes, runny nose and itchy throat. Luckily I have some antihistamines nearby in case it starts up this year.

I will have to see what 1500 Euro is in Pound Sterling. Unless our avid researcher/librarian Eldo would like to do that. Haha.

Are you still getting any bother from your next door neighbours? Hope not.

Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal. I may or may not go out somewhere tomorrow. We shall see. Pleased you like my new avatar.

With Andy, football is all or nothing. Ones he’s given it all he’s got nothing.

Beating up the other football players must be exhausting for him.

Andy’s more of a beer pro at pool, snooker, cards, darts and pigeons than a physical game. He just likes to keep “beer fit” playing football or soccer. Keeps old age at bay.

This was me on Easter Sunday. There was a distanced in-person church service/seasonal shout/sun salute on the hill that started just before dawn, same as “normal” years. I’ve often attended, since it’s a short (steep) walk from my house; this year I thought, the night before, “I’ll decide when I wake up.” Well I woke up “twenty minutes in,” and thus it was decided for me.
