    In chemistry “ortho-” also means “next to, or adjacent to”, hence, orthochlorotoluene.

    “Ortho” is Greek for “right” or “straight.” “Orthodox” is a correct teaching. “Orthodonty” is straight teeth. “Osto” is bone.

    Actually, in Greek, “orthos” means straight or right and “dox” means opinion, idea or belief.
