Reminds me of an episode of Full House where D.J. and Kimmy were going to be only in Spanish class together.

You’re only in ninth grade, girls. How “advanced” can it be?

I freaked out when I was put in an advanced math class in 8th grade. I hate math but I did well on an IQ test so they though I could learn the “new math”.

If you do well in advanced placement classes, it bumps up your GPA. But these girls aren’t thinking ahead to getting into a good college. They just don’t want to work too hard.

At our school, advanced classes weren’t as much advanced from the normal class as I would’ve liked…

Good start. They’ve managed 7 A’s already…

What clerical error led up to that?

I was in honors English in ninth grade. I guess the meaning of that varies.

My, I hated school. It’s been over 55 years, and strips like this still make me cringe.

I fondly remember getting my new schedule and seeing if any of my friends were in my classes. Sometimes I was pleasantly surprised. But I didn’t have any of them in my advanced math class…

Most of my classes were advanced, except math. I didn’t share any classes with my friends.

You both have to work together on Advanced English.

I’m surprised Paige did well enough for that. Maybe she hired Jason to do her homework, but his main interests aren’t in language.

I wonder if there’s been a version of the Peter Principle for students.

Something seriously wrong here……Paige isn’t that bright
