I spent last week at a condo at the beach. The owners had a high counter with high stools and a high table with high chairs. My wife and I who are both over 6 feet tall could not rest our feet on the ground when sitting on either stools or chairs. We could not sit on either comfortably for more than an hour. They also had high tables and chairs on the deck was well.
I had to do about an hour’s work each day and I used the counter as a standing desk. It was just about the right height for it.

Perspective shows table about mid-thigh height. From this angle, it’s a standing desk for a child or a very short person.

I rarely get to sit at my standing desk – the kitties keep stealing my chair!
