    It’s climate change.

I was recently reading that the U.S. weather service has been refusing to recognize some recent record extreme cold temperature readings on the assumption they couldn’t possibly be right.

When the data doesn’t support your theory, just fudge the data.

All I can say is, if global warming makes the climate colder, there might just be something wrong with the theory.

I was recently reading somewhere that now that all the hot air of the Republicans has left DC it’s getting colder in the world. Not sure where I read it, so it must be true.

Ironically, in the early ‘70’s the big envirmental concern was “Global Cooling.” In fact, there was an article in “Newsweek” (I believe that is the scource) suggesting that they apply coal to the top of both polar caps to warm the up. All the enviromental extremism is nothing but a ploy for the government to put their hands in one’s pocket.

@Stantis, this cartoon has been done, over and over, by right wing hack cartoonists for at least 15 years. It’s old, and getting more and more baffling with each year’s advance in average temps.

@psc, you were recently reading that? Wow, what a scoop! When the overwhelming evidence makes it clear your politicial ideas are wrong, fudge the truth.

@McGehee, you don’t know what the word “climate” means. Average global temperature can go up, and still mean you will have to wear a coat in winter. What will happen is, the extreme colds will get colder (for briefer periods of time), extreme high temps will get higher, the CLIMATE will destabilize and have catastrophic effects on WEATHER.

@jmw, the “global cooling” thing was a crackpot idea given absolutely no credence - Newsweek is not a scientific journal, after all - but one article has been resurrected by a tiny fringe of people with a political agenda. The rest of us are trying to solve a problem, made tougher by people who refuse to even acknowledge it. This is why “science” is quickly becoming an antonym of “political conservatism”.

The concept of man-made global warming is a complete farce.

Scott, this is what happens when you DARE to poke fun at the religion that is CLIMATE CHANGE. Keep up the good work! Oh, Ian, the correct term is CLIMATE CHANGE, not GLOBAL WARMING. Didn’t you get the memo? That way, all bases are covered no matter what the temperature is. It is very CONVENIENT.

    jmworacle, I agree!

Ian, what are you, one of the scientists working on this, or dare I say it, a “TH” to the Extreme.
