It’s the icicles on your sails and mast that will capsize your ship. It makes them too top-heavy. I had a friend who worked on a commercial salmon fishing boat in Alaska one winter. He had ENORMOUS arm muscles (like Popeye the Sailor) from hammering on the rigging.

What happened to his cap (or helmet) in panel three? His shirt (or armor) changed color, too. Perhaps the same magic that turned the icicles brown.
