People keep using the Tesla “Autopilot” which is a misnomer and dying. Tesla won’t change the name. I guess they are thinning the herd.

Cars don’t show off for cars… except in movies. In real life your car says something about you, “I have a large family.” “I use this for work.” “I don’t have much money.” “I’m compensating for the fact I have a small ****.”

Baldo and the never actually starting car project. In 30 years the same car will be sitting in his own driveway, still rusting away. Unless of course he lives where an HOA runs everything

technology may be progressing daily but i am still leery putting all my faith and my life in the hands of a technology that does all the driving. i still like being in control and making the decisions necessary.

That’s what cruzin was all about, Being seen on Main Street in your ride, hanging out with your buddies and girls, showing off. American Graffiti type of fun. Another thing gone. Too bad….

Have you seen the way people drive? I mean, technically most cars have been “driverless” for years.

One problem with self driving cars – How do they know where to go?

Will they use the same GPS which tells us when we are sitting in our car on our driveway and it tells us to “drive straight head” – which would result in our driving through our garage, a fence and then the house behind ours to get to the road it tells us to take – oh and the road makes no sense either as it is a small residential road instead of the 4 lane main road we live on.

Or our other GPS in our RV which seems to like to send us in the wrong direction and then send us through back streets and shopping center parking lots to fix the problem. For example – it properly sent us off an Interstate onto a local road to go to a McD. I told husband to turn left at the light at the end of the ramp, he listened to GPS and turned right. It sent us 3 blocks, the right turn, then another right turn and back along a parallel road until it realized that the road did not go through to the side of the Interstate as the Interstate blocked us, so it sent us through the back of a shopping center, around the stores and out the front – right next to where the exit ramp and then told us to turn the left – as we should have to begin with – but now we had to turn left onto a 4 lane road with NO traffic light.

This happens over and over with 5 different GPS devices/cell phone apps – and husband always does what it says when I tell the correct way to go as these are places we go to over and over and over…. again.

If we put in our house address to come home – it thinks our house is about 2 miles away from where it is as the numbering is odd on the road.

Give me a map to look at anytime and then know where I am going so I can pay attention to the road not listening to errors which have to be later figured out or have GPS keep trying to send him back onto a roads which are closed and not just closed for the day!
