If you get a chance you should visit Arbor Lodge in Nebraska City which is located in the southeast part of the state very near I-29. That is where it all started! It is quite nice and in the fall there is the Apple Jack Festival.

I have had to wear hearing aids since 1985. Had to set them aside since start of COVID due to wearing a mask.(when taking off the mask the strings get tangled in my behind the ear hearing aids, I spent better than 2 hours crawling in the car looking for 1 hearing aid, finally found it stuck between the drivers seat and the center console)I also discovered that when someone is talking to me, face to face, I miss a lot of words. I had no idea that I was also lip reading all these years.

I’ve always felt that Arbor Day should be on a Monday and be an official federal holiday. C’mon, who wouldn’t want a Tree Day Weekend?
