Today is Easter/Pascha for those of us Eastern Orthodox Christians. So I’m off to the Sat/Sun midnight service. It has to be better than last year’s. Since everything was closed down because of the COVID-19 panic.
@Linguist today’s strip excluding the extra panels IS funny , our HERO Mr Andrew Capp fights dirty , hitting below the belt to win :o) which reminds me of an Italian joke , where two drivers with their spouses are having an argument , when one told the other the infamous phrase "ti spaccho le corna and his wife comforted him by telling him " non ti inqueti caro , ti li faro ri-creshere :o) , my avatar is a photo of our mutual friend bev in a Shirley Temple hair stile , done by her dearly departed to Heaven mum , to show the red headed grandma that we care , she is still waiting for the pics you promised to send , her come avete passato la vostra Domenica mio meno vecchio amicho ? our Sunday should be a little busy but calm I hope , no early morning drive , no errands to run and we are both in a good mood , keep safe and a bientot pal
unless she has a reputation for cheating on him, Slick Steve’s wife should be able to talk to whoever she pleases. people of the opposite sex talking to each other doesn’t mean they are planning an affair; jealousy can ruin relationships.
Don’t blame Andy for putting Slick Stevie off his game. That was all on Chalkie. But I’m sure our Andy wasn’t in the slightest bit upset by this deliberate distraction. He just wished that he’d thought of it, himself.
At the GEC factory in Coventry in the early 1980s there was a one-armed chap who played in the departmental snooker league. He wasn’t the worst player either!
