Not true. You could respond, “I’m a mean SOB, now get to work!”

Or a normal person could say, “I’m fine, thank you for asking. Are you ready to get to work?”

I hate it when someone asks “How WE doing?” I tell them “I don’t know about you but I’m doing ok.” ( no wise guys, please)

Actually I god manager asks his associates how are they doing, they don’t care how they are doing but it shows empathy.

you can just answer FINE…and it really means F*CKED, INSECURE, NEUROTIC and EMOTIONAL…you will know what it really means, unless you share with others…

or you can say i am DAP…means DAMN, ASS, PEACHY…

Quite often I’ll say “how you doing?” And the other side doesn’t respond; nor are they expected to. Kind of a de-facto greeting like ‘Hi’
