Well Ellis is quite uniquely bizarre, so you gotta give him these…I mean, it’s almost philosophical/linguistic. E.g. one could ask, why IS it ‘heat’ in the old expression – and NOT jaguar; or Man-O-War Jellyfish; or plutocrat; or jagged glass… etc.
