If I worked for someone like Veeblefester, I’d try to deduct my Tums.

Veeblefester should not have given you headaches in 2020. Did you not work at home?

Why do I get the impression that Veeblefester owns huge blocks of stock in anti-acid and aspirn makers? ;D

On occasion, I’ve needed Advil to get me through the rest of my work day, but I’ve never tried to deduct them for tax purposes.

It is a personally allowed HSA expense and untaxed, but with no income deduction or tax credit.

To get enough aspirins he has to shop at the Costco that Costco shops at.

It would be like deducting coffee as a medical expense.

Hmm, if the company provides coffee as an employee benefit or belike a productivity enhancer perhaps then.

When I worked where coffee was provided I never thought to report it as income.

Deducting coffee as a entertainment expense would be legit.

Very obviously. However, the government will never miss a $50 deduction, not with everything they are spending….

Stay away from the commercial tax preparers, all they do is look for extras to add onto the costs of doing it. Then if you have a return coming, they try to get you to let them advance the money at an interest rate that eats up a good amount of the return. Wife is a book keeper, we had to go to a professional this year, bought a house to flip in another state, my daughter and a grandson did most of the fixup work, we kept all the receipts and any expenses we could justify, it turned into an extensive number of items to list.
