I love how Little Rita put a bow on the chair ♡. Her ex seems used to always expecting the impossible from her. Their life together must have been a constant (and stressful) concatenation of absurdity.
OK, I’m trying to get this straight. Little Rita’s “step-sisters” are who? He must have meant half-sisters, and he is referring to Rita’s two (now adult) daughters that we see now and then. Otherwise they would have to be Mr. Moore’s step-daughters, from a previous wife’s earlier marriage. This seems way to complex.
Also, I take it that Rita never used her husband’s name (i.e., she never went by Rita Moore), at least professionally. We’ve always known her as Rita McMahon, which I assume is her maiden name. So did Rita’s adult daughters go by Moore (at least prior to marriage)?
The hair bow above Rita in the first panel suggests to me that Rita is surprised, causing the bow to fly up, much like as is seen elsewhere in comics. Doesn’t (or didn’t) that frequently happen to Nancy herself in “Nancy”?

Technically, they’d be half sisters; or better yet just sisters with slightly different DNA.
