No way song writing’s that easy.

This cartoon may reopen the argument as to who actually wrote the poem: John Roulstone or Sarah Joseph’s Hale? Admittedly, we are talking 1830 or so, so tracking it down may be difficult.

They need more wine ….

“And its fleece is as white as snow”…

And that’s how they wrote ‘Greensleeves’.

She started out having a little lamb and a salad and some red wine.

I think of that more as a rhyme than a song.

In real life, there’s an argument between Sterling, MA and Newport, NH over where this song was really written.

Henry Ford bought the school house in Sterling where this poem was supposedly written by a girl in the school and moved it to Sudbury, MA where it stands to this day.
