The meaning of the word splaining (man or woman), Tell me I don’t know.

Even if the man is right, he’s wrong.

What happened to speaking English, as per dialect?

If we have to take on ‘mansplaining’, then y’all have to wear the mantle of she-blathering. It’s only fair.

But men usually do know something about the subject we are opining on.

The key element is blithely assuming she knows nothing about what you’re talking about just because she’s a woman. As in the guy with no medical training or knowledge explaining how the vagina works to a woman who not only owns one, but is a gynecologist to boot.

Wise Arlo! He changed the subject rather than correct.

I appreciate this story arch. Finally a little sense around this who _splaining issue.

My wife and I are both scientists. We don’t always agree, but we mostly understand each other.

When women do it, it is called “nagging”. And by the way, when we mansplain to you honey, it’s because you’re about to do something incredibly stupid and dangerous, like trying to pick up a running chainsaw by the blade, looking down the barrel of a gun to see if it is loaded, driving into a lamp post… I could go on.

“Splaining” is what is said by someone who never applied themself in school and is jealous of those who did…
