So what? The bats are catching bugs. It’s fun to watch them fly.

Let ‘em be. They’ll eat mosquitoes and whatnot and help keep them away from you. It’s a win-win.

When I was a kid at summer camp, we used to toss rocks up at the bats and watch them chase the rocks, thinking they might be bugs.

Back when I had a swimming pool in the backyard, I enjoyed soaking in it, watching the occasional sparrow or bat going after tiny insects…

We don’t call our home the Rice Paddy just to be cute – it is a swamp – and Hubby and I like to sit on the patio at night and watch the bats. To paraphrase a song from Oklahoma “We sit and chat, and watch a bat”.

Dragonflies during the day, purple martins in the evening and bats at dusk. Fun to watch and excellent at decimating the mosquito and black fly populations.

Bats learned to turn the motion-detecting spotlights on at my prior house. I plan on putting up a bat house or two this year and hope they work it out here.

Contrary to old wives tales, bats will NOT get in your hair. Left alone they are very interesting creatures. Their flying patterns are quite entertaining.

They are very beneficial creatures except for the ones which suck human blood … /s

With the NJ Air National Guard (‘skeeters, i.e.) getting off the ground this month, I’d like to make bats the state bird.

Bats are most entertaining.

Monday evening had a bat flying around my living room… Finally got him out to the garage and out the door. Last night another flew around my bedroom when I had the tv on.Got him out to the garage and caught him in a landing net and got him outside..I like bats but not in my house and no idea how they got in.
