Sorry to see you called 230 deaths in Gaza — 200 of whom were Hamas terrorists who fired thousands of rockets into Israel and most of the remainder victims of Hamas’s misfired rockets — “genocide” and “ethnic cleansing.” Debra Messing and Erin Foster are right. It’s talk like that that led to a group shouting “Free Palestine” attack people at the Sushi Fumi restaurant in LA. The attackers asked, “Who’s Jewish?” and then got out to beat the crap out of people. They didn’t care if those Jews did or didn’t support Palestinians. They just wanted to attack Jews. Your words have consequences that hurt people, but you don’t care about that, do you?
It wasn’t Texas. I flew from West Germany into Charleston AFB SC. As we were taxing I saw fog. I am from Nor Cal fog means cool same as Germany. They opened the door at the front of the plane and it was like a oven instantlly the airport display read 99 f 100 humility. Then a august training trip to Dallas. It was still 102 at midnight when I stepped out of the hotel. It felt like a weight on my shoulder. the trip back from the 7-11. I made my avail of the spray from the water sprinklers.
Friend of mine who did a Fulbright in the Emirates said everyone she knew ran at top speed from their apartment to air conditioned car and from the car to the air conditioned place they worked.
I remember flying into Houston in the summer. It was 75 degrees in the aircraft at cruising altitude. As we came in for a landing the temperature rose to 85 degrees. In the terminal it was 95 degrees. After I collected my luggage, I stepped outside where it was 105 degrees and raining. Welcome to Houston!

And you’re sick of people, who ask you, if you’re hot in your hijab.

The air conditioner is my most beloved and loyal partner. There is nothing outside in the summer that I can’t fit into my living room somehow.

I live where it’s cool every night, except for perhaps one week in summer. No need for AC ever, except in the car when it’s been in sun.
