We have had several cats who were, uh, less than pleased with being held by humans. When our daughter was in middle school we had a 17 pound tuxedo named Dexter who was very averse to being held. She liked to snatch him up and say, “Dex, how about a BIG hug?” She’d put him down immediately. The fun part was asking him.
