“Okay, Nate, did you make a list of your crushes’ advantages?” Uncle Ted asked.

“Yes”, I replied.

“My plan is – you’ll have two dates. After those dates, you decide, which gril are you taking on the winter dance”.

“Question – why did you tell me, to bring the list?”

“Look, it’s a hint, to do, what she likes on that date”.

“So, I should go with Jenny, then Coco, and figure it out?”

“Yup.”

“Thanks, uncle”, I said.

Later, I called Jenny and asked her out to a small coffee shop in the mall, where they have amazing pastries. Then, I asked Coco, if se could teach me a little break – dancing, a day after my date with Jenny (which I didn’t mention). After those dates, I’ll decide, which girl I take on the dance! Brilliant!

Well, I got an early comment. I bet this story arc will last like 2 weeks because we don’t know her name yet. At least she got a speech bubble for the first time.

Well then….. I think that’s still Nate because his eyebrow indicates some sort of emotion, so maybe he just doesn’t want to be embarrassed by them?

BIG NATE AND THE MANSION MYSTERY: PART 4

Nate, recovering from that bad dream, gets out of bed and changes his clothes. It’s now time for breakfast. He climbs down to the fifth floor, an entire floor that looks like a fancy and elegant restaurant. He sits with his friends and Artur on a nearby table with white, silky cloth and roses.

Artur: So guys, how was your sleep go?

Teddy: Oh, it was fantastic, Artur! The comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in!

Francis: Same here!

Nate: It was… eh…

Artur turns over to Nate, confused.

Artur: Nate? What is matter with you?

Nate: I had this… uh, dream… the mansion was haunted. And… um…

Nate debates on the part of his dream about Artur turning into a crazy devil and if he should talk about it with his friends, especially Artur himself.

Teddy: You being a scaredy-cat, Nate?

Nate: Um, no, but… that… that’s it. Nothing else to say… about my, uh, dream…

Artur: Relax, Nate! You will not have be hurt at all! That is, if you stays in your room! Haha!

Nate glances at Artur, who is chuckling. For some reason, he feels a bit… off. Then, four butlers arrive with the group’s meals. Francis gets scrambled eggs, Teddy gets some bacon, Artur gets some Belarusian breakfast dish, and Nate a stack of pancakes.

Francis: Mmm! Let’s eat!

Y’know……..what I’ve been thinking for a day or so of this arc (looks like it will segue into next week!) is that this just could be Nate’s double…..we’re all said to have one somewhere poking around, y’know…..THIS guy might be Etan Thgirw……weirder things have happened to two people sharing the same bat-time, same bat-channel

On Monday they’re still watching Nate and then another Nate walks up behind them, asking what’s going on.

I’m more and more sure that’s not Nate but his cooler double.
