Tarzan by Edgar Rice Burroughs for December 09, 2022

This is not a “pleasure” hunt by any means.

I don’t want to give the story line away but this is the first strip that had the same character, namely Tarzan, play another character in the same episode and appear right next to each other in the same panel. It involved some tricky drawing by the artist.

As Tarzan wonders if he should have made a move on Letha while he had the chance…..unrequited lust in the jungle. Perhaps he’ll get another chance soon.

A treasure trove of adverbs in today’s strip. “Tarzan asked casually.” “She replied evasively.” “He pursued relentlessly.” “She evaded uneasily.” “…watching her thoughtfully.” Good stuff! I approve heartily.

Tarzan just loves treasure hunts. There’s always a pit to digs to get the treasure out!

Every guy in the world thinks the same as Tarzan in the last panel.

“I wonder where this wind came from”, he said breezily…

“She seems intelligent”, he said thoughtfully…

“I’d like some chocolate milk”, he said Quickly… 益

And then Tarzan mused some more, “Oh well. At least ‘Kitty Snack’ looks as good going as she does coming…”

A secret good guy..er, uh….gal??

If they’d reached Ashra, they wouldn’t need the map, would they?
