Um, so Wolf is planning to stampede elephants towards the camp in order for Tarzan to get trampled? Two obvious problems. First, Tarzan has just won an award for man least likely to be trampled by elephants. Second, if Tarzan were trampled, what happens to the camp?
One of Burrough’s biggest mistakes has always been having a bull elephant leading the herd. African elephant herds are exclusively females and juveniles and are usually related to one another. Led by the eldest matriarch who usually has two or three of her eldest daughters serving as her assistants. The most dominant of the assistants will assume the leadership when the matriarch dies. The bulls leave the herd in their early teens and tend to live solitary lives roming from herd to heard ib the breeding seasons.
Ben Tantor? Sounds like some shyster lawyer from NYC. Are elephants bi-lingual having knowledge of great ape language as well as their own? And Letha is flipping sides once more, or is she just playing Wolfie for a fool again?

And so we learn Tantor’s first name. Ben. Funny, he’s always seemed more of a Jack to me… Hides

Stop! Run Left! Good thing the artist had his copy of the ERB ape language cross dictionary handy.

Mangani seems to be a rather prolix language if it takes that many words to say ‘Gee!’.

Ben? Tantor asked. Oh, crap, my GPS said Jerry.

It is good that SOMEBODY knows when to write led and when to write lead.
He led them. He stayed in the lead. He didn’t have lead in a gun or lead in a pencil. (Leaving Letha less satisfied.)

Well, of course elephants speak Great Ape. They hang around in the treetops with them all the time.

Never knew an elephant could corner that well.
