What’s your favorite game boy game? Mine is Wario land 3.

Second guess? Are we sure Phoebe is thinking of her father?

Surely at home he spends his time playing with a NES, while his parents watch movies on VHS, or listen to LPs.

Wonder if Ethan at one point gifted Phoebe some Virtual Console points on a 3DS and took it upon himself to download all of the Game Boy (and NES games) titles he could afford for her?

I suppose he could do all those things in a video game but Game Boy is too early for Harvest Moon or Animal Crossing. It had a Ton of games so Im not shore what games had all that camp-like stuff in it.

My kids had Game Boys, that is about all I know about them!

Maybe the outdoor fun her dad mentioned hasn’t happened yet. Maybe it started when he met some new girl who he never saw again.

For those of you wondering how far back in time Phoebe traveled:

Game Boy was released in North America on July 31, 1989. Young Ethan was probably one of those avid fans who purchased it immediately.

So the time frame here is most likely 1989 if he attended camp in August of that year. Or possibly 1990 if he got it later for his birthday or Christmas.

Assuming Ethan is age nine here (like Phoebe) he would now be around 40 years old. I had guessed mid- to late-30s yesterday.
