Except my husband is the cook in our home … and Italian … :D which is just a bit of why I’m happy… and also why I’m trying to get 20 lbs from 2020 gone lol
Decades ago I was on strict bedrest due to a back injury suffered during childbirth. My in-laws came to stay first week, my then-husband was to take over caring for our six-month-old son and cook the second week, he lasted one day, the whining was too much for me. Mind you, he was a surgical resident, the orders for bedrest was from his supervisor, my attending physician. I guess things haven’t changed much in those 39 years.

Delivery could be a good solution , at least for the lady health.

He’s s-o-o-o-o thoughtful. Lots of guys would rather just eat out rather than cook for themselves. This way they can be together.

The Late and Unlamented! I was desperately ill, and he’d complain about coming home and I didn’t have dinner ready. What a guy!

Prop her up securely in front of the stove? (Such a thoughtful husband!)

Wait, you actually want an ill person cooking your food? That doesn’t seem well-thought-out.

How thoughtful! They’re going to carry her downstairs so she can cook…

He should bring the kitchen to her.

This would be a good time to have the pizza delivery place on speed dial.
