Goodness me, it’s Patty! It’s almost surreal to see her depicted in Schulz’s mid-70s drawing style, accustomed as we are to remembering her as she was drawn in the 50s and early 60s, when she was a major character in the strip. So: in the era of Woodstock and Marcie and baby Rerun, Patty is still living in Charlie Brown’s neighbourhood. How do we explain the fact that she’s still around, but virtually never seen any more (bearing only the Universe of the strip in mind?). The way I see it, she and Violet are no longer really friends with Charlie Brown. Supposing Charlie Brown were to be walking along with, say, Franklin, and they passed Patty in the street. I imagine C.B. would say, “That’s Patty. We used to hang out all the time some years ago; I remember how we used to hide bags of candy from Snoopy.” But she’s no longer someone who is a part of Charlie Brown’s life; I imagine that she has a new set of friends now, with Lucy being the only member of the Peanuts gang whom she still occasionally talks to. For all that, Patty will continue to make extremely rare appearances in the strip (always as a background character) until as late as 1995.
Hey Snoop – there are a couple of corners in a couple of cities I know that you could stand on and not only would no one say a kind word but everyone would just ignore you altogether. Happy record
Always wondered why in the play “You’re a Good Man Charlie Brown”, with only six characters, Patty would be chosen as one of them. Especially when I played her in a high school production and people wondered why I wasn’t acting like (Peppermint) Patty!

A kind word in the morning can last the whole day long. And in today’s world, kind words are very few and far between the next kind word.

Your time record wasn’t even close to the multiple millions of invisible people in the world that no one acknowledges…..

He was hoping if he got in the book, he would get a lifetime supply of Guinness Beer (sponsor of the book).

Well another moment spoiled by Patty. Could have been worse, could have been Peppermint Patty.

Psst, Snoopy! Don’t you think it’ll be pretty tough to beat Charlie Brown, the current holder of that record?
