Happy Holidays…..

You know she’s doing the shopping when you don’t see Ralph taking all the Halloween candy for himself!

The stores here in Boston began selling Halloween candy in July this year. Then, throughout August, I noticed Halloween cards, costumes, and decorations. It won’t be long before they get rid of the watermelons and corn on the cob, and replace them with pumpkins and gourds.

Honeybunch is addicted to some holidays more than others. Next week she’ll be putting out the Labor Day decorations, I imagine.

I was out in the garage on Friday wrapping Christmas presents.

In fairness, wrapping paper won’t go stale.

But…my wife got such a great price on it! I think the candy manufacturers are hoping people eat all of the candy by the time Halloween rolls around and have to buy more.

I don’t get trick or treaters any more so I don’t buy candy.

I saw a Christmas display at a Maryland Walmart in August. Maybe it was left over from the previous Christmas.

Ah, my eyes are misting up over memories of the old Labor day celebrations of my childhood: the whole family sitting around the Labor day tree, singing songs like “Oh Labor Day”, exchanging gifts wrapped in Labor Day gift wrapping and sipping Labor day cider.

Pure wholesome American celebrations, i.o.w. None of that commie rubbish Mayday stuff and singing The International or anything like that or spelling Labour with that superfluous extra ‘u’.

I do like her Christmas attitude. I listen to Christmas music at times throughout the entire year, especially when I need a mood lift……

Sort of related; “What We Do In The Shadows” Season 3 is starting this week!

You can hear the brain cells pop in Ralph’s head.

And…that answers why do they put out stuff so early.

Now Ralph’s gonna be going back to get another cart to load up on the candy.

Woa Nelly! I just got younger son’s birthday dealt with.

Is Ralph ill? He didn’t put any candy in the cart.
