I signed in using my email and password and got a list of comics instead of the ones I follow? It took 3 tries before I got my comics.
Boy did we have rain today. I just finished putting my groceries in the car and got in when the skies opened up and dumped rain. The streets were flooded curb to curb. Made for an interesting drive home!
Thanks to my feline lawnmower Elsa, I switched from regular house-plants to cactuses. Even then, my favorite cactus still had tooth-marks. (It’s been over 40 years but I still miss that loving little kitty.)
Thinking about names for my new kitten and I see that little Oliver is a gray kitten. I might choose to name my new kid Oliver. I think it’s a boy, but it can be hard to tell when things are still so small. I suppose I could start calling him Oliver, and if I discover he’s a girl, I could just drop the “r” and call her Olive. I can’t keep calling him “Kitten” forever. He’s doing better – no longer afraid of me, but he sure doesn’t want to be cuddled. When I pick him up and try to cuddle him, he grabs my hand, wanting to play. I let him loose in the living room for a while last night and he tried to make friends but the other cats are still hissing at him. I’m going to keep him in the rabbit cage for just a couple more days for his own safety (but letting him out some while I’m around, so he can explore his new home). I’m sure the other cats will accept him before long.
National Love Is Kind Day. Just as on July 4th Americans celebrate their independence, so is July 27th to be celebrated—a day to celebrate independence from the abuser. July 27th, National Love is Kind Day is the day to:
Celebrate for all victims of domestic violence/domestic abuse their FREEDOM and INDEPENDENCE from their abuser.Recognize our right to be treated with KINDNESS. Because real love is kind, not terrorizing.Realize that kindness is the path to healthy and safer relationships, families, society, and the world.Give voice for and hope and support to others who are still suffering, often in silence.Spread messages how we can be kind to one another, especially to those closest to us.Remember that love is not abusive, violent, demeaning or dehumanizing. If someone uses love as an excuse for their hurtful behavior, it’s not real love.
With every generation, the cycle of abuse continues to cripple families, especially women and children who are most vulnerable. The cycle of abuse must stop now.
Looks more like bunny rabbit work. Friday I noticed that my car registration tags were out of date, and a subsequent search through 2 piles of paperwork found the unopened bill. The late fee was $170 on top of the already high renewal as it is a new car. At least it was a cloudy day yesterday so the dogs could wait in the car for the 12 minutes it took to renew then we went for a lovely morning hike along a shaded creekside trail and found some wild orchids.
One of my cats will chew on dried flowers, but so far, I haven’t seen him eating live plants. On another note, saw two hummingbirds and a junco outside today.

It’s usually not hunger. Sometimes you just have to have a salad.

Tyler almost ate my Money Plant bare. Now it is on a raised platform out of his reach. I hope it recovers.
