Trump Talked as Holyfield Got Pummeled. A bout that shouldn’t have happened on any day, let alone a solemn memorial day; so of course Trump presided. Belfort won by a technical knockout in the first round, after the referee stopped the bout because of how clear it was that Holyfield never should have been allowed into the ring. Oscar De La Hoya got Covid, so Holyfield stepped in on a week’s notice. Jim Lampley pulled out. HBO pulled out. I cycled the furnace the other night, mainly because the humidity was seeping into the house.Now they’re saying Cleveland might hit 90 F this week again.

After months of relentless 90-plus degree heat, I’m so ready for fall and winter. Unfortunately, in Texas, we still have about a month and a half to go before decent temperatures appear.
