While supporting the mask mandates of the teachers union she shows up at Lollapalooza and bounces around maskless among all the other maskless crowd. She will only take questions from black members of the press – whitey keep quiet! It’s only Aug. 13th and already over 200 of her constituents have been shot with 35 dead. The weekend starts today so by Monday there will be another 8-12 dead. YTD shooting and deaths: 2774/475. She’s going to shatter her previous record from last year which was 522. Saddest of all is the latest cop killing of a wonderful young woman who had just returned to duty after having a baby 2 months earlier. After all her divisive words and actions, especially her support of the BLM anti-police riots, it’s no wonder the police turned their backs on her.

Isnt she the mayor who only want to talk to black reporters, etc? Defund the police? The force turned their back on her for her racist actions.

Why is everyone complaining, Lightfoot like Biden is a duly elected official that the majority wanted. Did she not say she would make Chicago a better place to live. The only question is for who. And in this case by what means.

Lori Lightfoot has vilified her police since she has been in office and has cut 400 law enforcement officer positions. So much for her claims of being against defunding the police. Been a lot of talk here regarding the illegal sale of fire arms and calling for more laws. How about enforcing the laws on the books. Accusations against out of state gun stores selling weapons that wind up in the hands of criminals should certainly be investigated. But those gun stores are required by federal law to do a NICS (National Instant Criminal Background Check System) scan on every buyer. If an individual passes a NICS check how can the gun store refuse to sell a weapon? Now if there is a straw man repeatedly purchasing weapons out of state and reselling in state to criminals, it seems to me that a halfway competent DA could bring charges against that individual. But, that calls for a modicum of work and competency. Of course, if a gun store is found to be selling weapons illegally then by all means bring the hammer down on them. I doubt that’s the case though. I’d bet real money that those gun store owners bend over backward to cooperate with the ATF and other law enforcement agencies.
