That’s the best answer to unsolicited folks at the door since many years ago, when two Evangelicals came to my place and asked if they could tell me the Good News.
“Not at 9 AM on a Saturday morning, you can’t,” I said, and firmly closed the door.
We don’t answer the door – not that anyone ever comes to the door anyway other than the mail delivery who leaves the mail in the box (and until the pandemic started we had our mail go to a box at a local PO) – no salespeople, no people looking for donations, delivery people leave generally leave packages at the foot of our (short) driveway so they can be easily reached from the sidewalk by anyone going past – and generally are not for us as we rarely order anything, no one.

I no longer will open my door to anyone I don’t know. In fact, I pretend that no one is home.
