What was his plan for evacuating Americans? Why were not the loads of material, (ammunition, etc) that you go on about already gone by May 1?
The Trump admin had nearly 5 months in office to start getting done the very things you complain about. Or at least to set up a plan. There appears to have been no real action except removing more US troops and no real plan.
Perhaps too many believed that the Afghan army would actually fight for a while. An army that wilted when facing the Taliban — who certainly are never to be confused with the 1940 Wehrmacht or the 1970s Red Army.
It appears that the bravest Afghanis are the ones protesting in the streets against the Taliban. Brave, but too little, too late,
The Afghan people had a year to prepare. They should have paid attention when Trump abandoned the Kurds.
