I can say that sometimes they are one and the same. Since my loving wife died in March this could apply to her. I know that isn’t exactly the way it was meant but I do feel this way.
I have been through all of that. I was always there for anybody who needed me no matter what time of day or night it was and no matter how many miles I drove or even if I didn’t have the money I would give it to them when they needed it or if they needed somebody to talk to I was always there for them. But when it came my turn for something simple, I always get asked the question, “Don’t you have any other friends?”. Today, I have no idea what my phone sounds like because it doesn’t ring. Not even with wrong numbers or recordings for insurance or I won a trip to nowhere. It would be nice to be able to text anybody to have a conversation…

They say a real friend is one who will pay your bail at 3:00 in the morning. Wrong. A real friend would be in jail with you.

and those who won’t get involved in your nonsense from the beginning. When I see a melodrama queen I run the other way

What if that turns out to be only 2 people?
Or, even Just One person #2 and #3 being the Same Person with no #1 ?
