It would take me all day to think of all the Garfield strips that made me chuckle.

Eat. Sleep. Cough up hair ball. Yup, that pretty much covers it.

Meal 1, meal 2, meal 3……..

Eating lasagna and sleeping? (And kicking odie off the table?)

Packaging Nermal off to Alaska, eating boatloads of lasagna, booting Odie off countless tables and basically ignoring your “girlfriend seems to be it”

R.I.P. Van Garfield, always DEAD asleep.

Someone has a short memory…..

Cheer up, Garfield. Remember the XXL pans of frozen lasagna that were BOGO at Costco? Life is good.

Garf sleeps so much, it’s not surprising.

Garfield has been around since 1978 and he couldn’t think one one thing?

What do you expect for a cat that only eats and sleeps and rarely goes out of the house.

It would have taken longer if you had remembered all the stuff you’ve done to the others…

There use to be an airline, virgin atlantic I think, who had a commercial where a man is about to die, death is waiting and his life flashes before his eyes, he’d done so much because of their low rates it takes a while and death falls asleep waiting, allowing him to slip away.

Actually, a lot has happened to Garfield over the past 43+ years. Especially in the 1980s, that was probably the best decade in the strip’s history.

43 years on this earth and 42 of them spent eating and sleeping. Worth it!

Remembering takes sooo much energy…

Question if there are any Garfield scholars here… There is a Garfield comic I remember rather vividly but cannot find anywhere. It would’ve been fairly early Garfield, and it’s an odd one. Garfield is babysitting (??!) and he tells a pair of toddlers (?!?) that their parents are fattening them up to send them to a slaughterhouse called kindergarten. The parents come home and ask Garfield “did you change them?” and he says “Probably.” This is so out of character and weird and hilarious to me, and I cannot find it. I think it was a Sunday strip, but I could be wrong about that part.

Yes, I’m certain (99.9 percent) that this was actually a Garfield strip, not a different strip I’m confusing. As a tween, I had a bunch of early Garfield strip books that I read over and over, and I didn’t have books from any other comics. This was in one of those books. Does ANYONE have a way to find this? I’ve tried searching a number of terms unsuccessfully.
