When you take your coffee with you it will still be the cold coffee you have. If you go back and fetch the hot coffee you have a second to the one now. I’d generate a whole new universe and would require at least the energy of the mass of that additional coffee. E=mc² – calculate much energy that’d be.
If you had paid proper attention to your coffee when it was first made, it wouldn’t have gotten cold. But no, you were caught up in the wonder of time travel and ignored what was really important.
