Why is everyone so obsessed with that silly little song called “Baby Shark”?

Oh Will, here’s a classic ear worm for you: “Yummy, yummy, yummy I’ve got love in my tummy and I feel like lovin’ you…” (With apologies to those of us who remember this little bubblegum ditty, for it made for a most obnoxious ear worm).

Those songs that get stuck in your head are fun — for a little while. I have a never-fails cure for those. I play (inside my head only, of course) a couple of verses of the old hymn Holy Holy Holy. That takes care of any of these songs that get stuck in your head, I’ve found. And if that one gets stuck there, that’s ok. It’s a favorite of mine. That’s one reason it works.

Our local newspaper posts the entire paper on their web site. You can subscribe to paper, electronic, or both. Once we got used to it, we prefer the electronic version. So, we still read the paper each day on our laptops.

But what does an earworm song have to do with reading newspapers? I don’t understand.
