Actually, if it were set up like a base camp with tents and all(not necessarily green) and you might have a going attraction there. Nightly fireworks would add just that little bit of something to push it over the top.

Swimming pools, clubs, chopper service? Makes me almost sorry I worked so diligently to stay out of that place.NOT.

It sounds like one of our old base camps, because it is.

It was established long ago that he has a problem – he thinks he CAN’T take it off.

When he joined the California Highway Patrol he had to change helmets. It was a simple outpatient procedure.

The first time we see BD without his helmet was when he was injured in the Iraq. Trudeau was showing us just how much of a life changing event it was for him (and all the troops) to be injured.

No surfing, though.

There was a place in Da Nang which meets the description here – the XXIV Corps compound. Above ground pool (until one of my platoon’s M551 Sheridans “accidently” took the corner off it and let the water out), tennis courts, gymnasium, AC in the O Club, and excellent food to go with the comfy quarters.
