My recently deceased wife and I had 2 Chihuahua’s and they were much more “alert” and fearless than most of the other dogs we ever had. When reinforcements were needed the male would alert our deaf Catahoula Leopard Dog and he had his back. Sadly they are all gone and my wife’s cats are too busy sleeping to guard anything.

You don’t have to eat it all. You don’t have to necessarily be big to be a good guard dog. You don’t even have to be a guard dog.

My neighbour just adopted a “teacup” puppy. Her husband often walks it, which gets all the neighbours giggling.

Probably not even by eating it.

Pound for pound, the smallest dogs can be the most furious. What they lack in size, they make up in attitude.

So bark at it instead.

The meal of a thousand swallows begins with a single bite. The problem is that the food will spoil ere you get to the last.

How’s a little dog like him supposed to eat all of that? He would explode.
