Chickens with Roosters heads? Maybe they are crossing the road to find out which came first the Chicken or the egg. They’re definitely not Chicken because they where brave enough to cross the road. So that makes them Roosters with Chicken bodies. So now the question is. Which came first the Rooster or the Egg? And who or what laid the egg in the first place? Any ideas?
The most likely explanation is, as Sir Edmund Hillary reportedly said when asked why he climbed Mt. Everest: “Because it is there”. Footnote: It turns out that is an urban myth and Sir Edmund never actually spoke those words.
As far as I can tell, in every “why did the chicken cross the road” joke – it is implied that the chicken was successful and survived. Compare that to all the thousands of squirrels, raccoons, etc. that didn’t make it.

There was somebody chasing him with a box of Shake & Bake, that’s why he ran across the road.
