A lab will look at cold, rain, wind, sleet, snow, hail. Then he will look at you with the look in his eye that says. Lets go outside have some fun. That is the main reason that we now have a dog door. He can go in or out at his pleasure. Should have done that years ago. Best I can gather is that a lab needs to be outside when it is cold. We go to build a fire. He goes outside. No, they will never get just that one time of 100% misery. Absolutely impossible.
Somehow reminded of the Georgia farmer who had lived a less than virtuous life, but was quite happy with his postmortem climate. The Devil asked him why, and he replied, “This is just like a day in May on my farm in Georgia.” The Devil turned up the heat and the farmer was even happier. “It’s just like a day in August on my farm in Georgia.” The Devil thought, “Well, if that’s what he likes …” and turned the thermostat down to the point that the flames turned to ice with frost on it. The farmer was absolutely ecstatic. “Hold it!” said the Devil. “You liked the heat – I turned it up – you liked it even better – and then I made Hell freeze over and you’re ecstatic about it! What gives?” “The Falcons are going to the Super Bowl!”
You. Vancouver Island is going to get blasted this week. The doggos, two Lab/Newfie mixes and the runt of their last litter, can already smell the rain. And they want to go out and play in it.

Honoring the memory of the 29 crew members of the Edmond Fitzgearld, which sank in Lake Superior 46 years ago. My prayers to the families.

If they changed their names to No-Vem-Beer they would become more acceptable.

Louie indeed would love more snow. Not so Nate, though.
