    No, I think he’s still a young child in early primary school (the UK equivalent to kindergarten).

    Last night he dreamt he was with a teenage queen. The prettiest gal he’d ever seen. Then came the bellow as he stumbled in, the sodden fellow “Is that YOU Andy!”

    At least Andy doesn’t have acne problems in his “Full-Blown Adolescence”.

    Ernie also got a gum chewing 16 year old girlfriend from Wales with pink hair and a lot of piercings. Ernie also got 15 years at Newgate for pedophilia and contributing to the delinquency of a miner.

    Andy probably hasn’t got any hair to cut, and I couldn’t imagine him wasting a few precious beer-buying quid on a silly tattoo…

    Today’s strip reminds me of one from the 1970s after the UK had gone decimal.

    Andy, dressed in football clothing and with his football, asks Flo for “two bob”. Flo replies, “It’s ten pence now. We went decimal ages ago.” Andy replies, “I know, pet, but asking for pence would make me sound like I’m a kid again.” In the last panel, Andy is walking down the street and heading the ball by himself like a child. Flo turns to us and comments “Again?”.

    Now now. Flo, a long time ago you might have found a way to cleverly channel his soccer energy into gainful employment of some sort.

    Eh, me too – I may be a full-grown adult, but I’m still immature as even due to my brother and sister-in-law tenderly looking after me despite our being in our early 60’s!!

    I have a question for the brits and I think it relates to another comic strip. Is it bad if there are bones in pudding?

    @Afficionado

    Hey, Affie.

    I was at my volunteering today. Thankfully it looked like I didn’t need to write more addresses on envelopes. Not the church ones anyway. If you remember I got a red lump on my finger after writing them all. I went for a KFC after I had finished today.

    I am afraid of heights so sadly even when I don’t look down it doesn’t stop me feeling shaky. I really don’t like escalators. I use the lift (elevator) whenever possible. An example of this being in my local supermarket. Although that’s another thing as well, I hate glass lifts. I was in a building and one half of the lift was glass so I faced away from that side. Blackpool Tower has glass flooring I believe. You would never see me going up there. I know they say “Face your fears” but I’d rather not. I am the unbravest person you will ever meet.

    Next Wednesday I am at the carvery so no KFC on that day.

    Stay safe, stay well and stay happy, pal.

    What’s trendy and hip today often becomes outdated and irrelevant tomorrow. (Some things faster than others.)
