Payne LOVES false equivalencies. Most states with voter ID laws never bothered to make sure that the required IDs were easy to get for valid voters and rejected the IDs which were easy for the valid voters to get. He also ignores the fact that polling places are often small and crowded and are easy places to spread disease. Maybe he just hates fair elections.
The usual “false equivalence with a vehicle” from Payne. MY voter ID is my signature. Our state has among the lowest (by count and by proportion) rates of illegal voting in the nation. And more than half of the (extremely few) cases that have been dealt with in the last decade or so have been right wing people attempting to steal ballots in various ways to prevent them from being counted. And there’s no need for any rules about how you have to act while waiting in line to vote because there is no waiting in line to vote: We vote by dropping our ballot into one of hundreds (thousands?) of official ballot boxes, or we can buy a stamp and mail it in. … But even if we DID have polling places and DID have a vaccine mandate for various activities, the rules here would be “mask required while in the building (regardless of vaccine status)”, not a mandate to be vaccinated.
If voter ID is racist, isn’t it also racist for government to require an ID to purchase a firearm? the rule affects the same people. BTW, I’m okay with requiring an ID for both, but how can it be racist in one instance, but not the other?

Can anyone name one county, precinct, district, whatever, that has demanded proof of vaccination to vote? Or has Henry erected yet another straw man?

Everyone who says voter ID usually say Photo ID, unless they are trying to make a false equivalence.

Good political cartooning is taking an existing situation and exaggerating it for effect. Making up junk doesn’t cut it.
