Still looking forward to reading your comments from Monday’s cozy critter! Thanks for sharing & if I can’t join in on today’s conversation, please grab a hot cup & enjoy chatting with each other! :D
Cool or cold, dry air. Breezes that don’t make you wilt from humidity or freeze your nose off. All the wonderful autumnal colors. Turning off the A/C & opening the windows. The first time you need to turn on the heat when you go to bed. Being able to cook without “cooking” yourself, or “heating up the house”. And, best of all, October has several family birthdays & anniversaries. Then, we get Thanksgiving to " end" Autumn & get to Christmas.
The leaves turning colours, sitting outside in the crisp autumnal air enjoying a cup of hot cocoa, or other warm beverage, with a cat on your lap and a dog at your feet with the snap and cradle of the fire pit as you contemplate the next five months or so of spending more time inside during winter. And letting your thoughts wander to how in the world can Aussies and New Zealanders have Xmas in the middle of their summer.
Definitely the weather, cool days and able to have the windows open to let the fresh air in. Windows open at night and snuggling under the warm blankets, the sound of the falling leaves lulling me to sleep. Lying flat in a pile of leaves with sounds muffled except for the whisper of the leaves and looking up at the clear blue sky, seeing the fields being harvested and wishing that the farmers get a good price for their hard work at raising crops.
The colors of the trees and flowers, and the intense blue of the sky on a clear day. At night being able to see the stars and planets since there is less humidity in the air to create light pollution.

Being a Spring/Summer person, Autumn means getting into cold and snow. I do love the colors of Autumn. And I have a ‘hot cup’ all year long.

Crisp, sunny, yet cool, weather. Welcoming back hot cocoa in the evening. Autumn brings memories of childhood, home, school starting. <3

It “aught” to be longer to avoid punitive winters.

The many colors of the leafs. And it hasn’t even gotten cold. I still see kids wearing flipflops.
