i often end up with less than a whole banana (and, yes, everyone knows that i’m working with less than a bunch, but that’s a different discussion) because the bananas look deceptively unblemished when you pick them up at the supermarket, but somehow turn half rotten by the time you peel one the next morning. someday i’ll figure out how they do that…
