What is so hard for the conservative mind, the very ones who claim to decry government interference in our personal lives, to understand that women are human beings and have every right to make their own choices? Just as with any other right, some will make choices that some others may not agree with, but that’s freedom. I trust women, and whatever support system they choose, to make better choices for their own intensely personal situation than some arbitrary law passed by a bunch of mostly old, rich, pompous, white, self-righteous men in congress or some state legislature. They like to claim it’s about protecting un-born life, yet they steadfastly refuse to do anything to protect that life once it’s born. Like refusing to even consider any form of reform to gun laws, even though a large majority of us want them too, to try to prevent people, many of whom are children, from being shot to death. Please, those of you out there who are still the kind of respectable, principled and honest Republicans I used to be able to vote with, take back control of your Party, even if it means losing a few election cycles to purge yourselves of the zealots you are harboring.
The Supreme Court is throwing out two babies with the bathwater in their rush to overturn Roe: destroying the concept of precedent (How conservative of them!), and voiding the 14th Amendment’s extension of the Constitution to the states (via the Texas law). Welcome to the end of American democracy and rule of law.

This is pitch-perfect and absolute satirical gold. So very well done.
