The voters of West Virginia might be the only ones to get through to Manchin if they want him to consider changing his mind. But I doubt they’ll do it.
For (mumble mumble) decades, I’ve been opposed to enormous omnibus bills at the local, state, and federal level. Break them up into chewable chunks! I freely admit that this would force legislators at all levels of government to spend more time legislating and less time running for re-election. But it is the season of miracles…..
