I had a clogged bathroom sink, not entirely clogged, but very slow draining. After many attempts to clear it, I called a plumber. He worked on it for about an hour and was equally puzzled, he couldn’t find any problem. In a moment of inspiration, he asked me for a thin stick. He poked it through the (non-removable) strainer and cleared the clog.

I’d ease into it with a bucket first, and then shut off the water supply.

I’d buy the faucet, then call a plumber.

A leaky drain is easy to fix – no pressure, no plumber needed.

Of course a leaky drain means the faucet must be replaced. It’s kind of like how a car needing an oil change means the brakes need to be replaced.
