    Those dishes do look good and not difficult to make. Until you check the recipes which have some ingredients not in your kitchen. So you buy these herbs or spices, etc. and never use them again. An expensive experiment.

    That’s me – I make balanced, tasty meals, because that’s how I was brought up. But my family would choose pizza and burgers every time.

    Last night I made beef stew with fresh-baked bread. Slow cookers and bread machines are very handy

    Perhaps a spiced up wine reduction for the pizza? BTW you can ‘throw an egg’ on nearly everything.

    I often make up my recipes on the spot
 I determine what I have in stock and then improvise
I shouldn’t give this away, but recently I’ve been grilling fresh salmon, and half way thru, topping them with thin wedges of a sweet apple variety. Just before the fish is done I add a slice of provolone cheese imbedded with fresh rosemary from the garden
